Together, these doors form a single, artist-led practice,
integrating music, experience and art into one world of
storytelling and creativity.

BLAXICANA COUTURE
Blaxicana Couture is the wearable art expression of the House of Roses
Rooted in identity and cultural lineage, the name reflects the intersection of
my family, expressed through my one-of-one jackets as a cultural artifact.
Each year, ten pieces enter the world. Each one is a wearable sculpture,
part garment, part document of a cultural moment.
They are priced accordingly, collected intentionally, and released only once a year.

Narrative Art Series: House of Roses
Harlem Rose is a contemporary body of one-of-one wearable art works
created in response to a cultural moment of recognition of
my chosen muse for 2026, Teyana Taylor, a multidimensional creative artist.
Inspired by the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance, the work responds to an
atmosphere where history, artistry, music, fashion, and authorship converge.
All muses serve solely as conceptual. No likeness, name, or identity is depicted or implied.
References to a muse are for conceptual inspiration only and the artist interpretation.
About the Brand
Blaxicana Couture is a house of one-of-one collector jackets by artist Alece Plasencia—handmade in Los Angeles and finished with a signature silk lining of Chinese brocade and embroidered insignia. Every detail is intentional. From the cut of the denim to the placement of embellishment, each work is constructed as an expression of culture, identity, and artistry.
The Collectors
The artist has created one-of-one works for music artists, dancers, muralists, actors, art collectors, and cultural visionaries. Each collector becomes part of the House of Roses—acquiring not only a jacket, but a singular work that belongs to them alone.
The Exhibit
Blaxicana Couture works are presented through curated exhibitions and private showcases throughout the year, including House of Roses: After Hours, The Desert Set, held annually each April on the eve of Coachella
Weekend Two in Palm Springs, California at the Ace Hotel.
The work is also exhibited year-round at Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where the artist has been
represented since 2022.
