Each work is numbered and archived as wearable art and is accompanied by a
signed Certificate of Authenticity​. Each piece is made to order in your size, hand-crafted
with couture-level detail, using hand-selected textiles and cultural storytelling.

An upscale fashion and music festival held during at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club,
Palm Springs during Coachella (weekend 2).
This immersive evening blends art, fashion, and music in a desert-chic atmosphere.
Guests experience live performances by emerging artists, guest DJ sets, a runway fashion show, view the collection of Blaxicana Couture, and connect with the artist, Alece Plasencia and other creatives.

Hello, my name is Alece Plasencia, founder and artist behind Blaxicana Couture
I work exclusively with private clients to create a timeless masterpiece on
denim to tell your story.​
​
Each jacket is one of one that tells a story and comes with a certificate of
authenticity as luxury wearable art.
​
Denim is my canvas—where fashion, music, and art converge into wearable works of art.
I reimagine the classic denim jacket through luxury craftsmanship, lining each collector piece with my signature Chinese brocade fabric. Every jacket is a one-of-one creation—never duplicated—because each story I tell is singular and unrepeatable.

My work draws from lived experience: world travel, cultural heritage, and a devotion to artistry. Each piece is hand-embellished with intention, designed not only to be worn but to be collected, cherished, and passed down as a symbol of individuality.

Rejecting fast fashion, I embrace sustainability by creating enduring works that honor both tradition and innovation. My jackets invite collectors to express their own uniqueness through pieces that hold meaning far beyond trend.

I am honored to have my work featured year-round at the renowned Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, California, and within the private collections of those who recognize that fashion and fine art are inseparable.

About Me
​
My name is Alece Plasencia, Artist and CEO of Blaxicana Couture.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, where my love for design, fashion, music, and art was first shaped by the energy of the city.
For many years, I worked as an educator — but my calling as an artist never left me. Eventually, I returned to my true passion and created Blaxicana Couture, named after my daughter, Choice, who remains both my muse and my greatest inspiration.
I chose denim as my medium because it is timeless, universal, and resilient — much like the stories I tell through my work. My custom jackets are not garments; they are wearable art pieces. Each one is conceived as a collaboration between myself and the creative who wears it, designed to express individuality, legacy, and spirit.

About the Brand
Blaxicana Couture is a house of one-of-one collector
jackets — handmade in Los Angeles and finished with
my signature silk lining and embroidered insignia. Every detail is intentional. From the cut of the denim to the placement of embellishments, each piece becomes a statement of culture, identity, and artistry.
My work is inspired by the vivid colors of travel, the rhythm of music, and the fusion of art forms that cross cultures. These jackets are meant not just to be worn, but to be experienced — sparking conversation, creating community, and leaving behind a legacy of self-expression.

The Collector's
I have had the honor of creating for music artists, dancers, muralists, actors, and cultural visionaries. Each client becomes part of my extended story, and in return, they carry with them a piece of art that is theirs alone.
Blaxicana Couture pieces are revealed only at exclusive showcases throughout the year, including my signature event every April during Weekend Two of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Palm Springs. My work is also exhibited year-round at the prestigious Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where I am proud to be recognized as a featured artist in wearable art.
