ARTIST-LED COLLECTOR WORKS

Blaxicana Couture is the wearable art practice of artist Alece Plasencia.

She creates one-of-one textile works conceived through the artist’s vision, in response to cultural moments and the ongoing House of Roses narrative.

A limited number of collector works are released each year. Creative direction remains entirely with the artist, ensuring each piece exists as a singular, one-of-one artifact rather than a commissioned garment.

Each work is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

What does Artist-Led Collector Works” mean?

You are acquiring an original work of wearable art with narrative, authorship, and provenance.  Each piece exists as part of a larger body of work

and is stewarded by its collector.

Can I request specific elements?

Collector works are artist-led. While general preferences may be shared at the

time of inquiry, all creative decisions are guided and finalized by the artist.

Will I preview the work before completion?

No. Each piece is revealed upon completion.

​

Are collector works one-of-one?

Yes. Every jacket is a singular work and is never replicated. Each piece

is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

What is the process to acquire a collector wearable art jacket?

Collectors may acquire Harlem Rose or an Artist-Led Collector work.
